Team lead Automation Engineering

Algemene omschrijving

As the Team lead of Automation Engineering you will have a key-role in the project. You will be involved to setup a solid work break down and planning structure for all tasks that belong to the discipline. Besides that you will be in charge of a team of (Senior) Automation Engineers. You are responsible for the desired quality, timely delivery and you will be report to the Project Manager Engineering.

Your responsibilities include:

• Leading a team of 4-8 colleagues;
• composing a work break down structure and assign labor/cost budgets;
• leading the Requirements Engineering and Systems Engineering process for the Automation Systems;
• developing and reviewing specification documents, functional descriptions, schematic drawings and test/validation plans;
• managing and verifying technical performance of vendors and subcontractors;
• contribute to the development and describing of standards and working methods.

Besides these responsibilities, you will also be responsible for checking the design, performing technical analysis on received offers, monitoring and controlling man-hour budget, and much more.

As Team lead Automation Engineering you fulfill the following requirements;

• Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Technical Automation or another relevant technical discipline;
• at least five years experience in the design of (complex) automation systems, preferably in ships, offshore or industrial installations;
• experience in working in large project environments and leading a team up to 10 colleagues;
• experience in working with and manage third-party vendors and subcontractors;
• able to structure work packages and get them realized according to the contracted planning and labor/cost budgets;
• used to work on class-regulated products and to Good Engineering Practices, including quality and budget awareness;
• written and verbal command of Dutch and English, preferably also German;
• excellent antecedents as a pre-employment security screening and investigation are a part of the recruitment procedure (given the military nature of the project);
• EU citizenship or valid EU work visa.

You will be working in a technology and innovation focused dynamic international environment. The salary is based on previous experience and knowledge and can be discussed in a personal interview.
